When I started this blog, I'll admit, I wanted to be famous. I thought about how awesome it would be to be one of those blogs that people talk about at the dinner table. I wanted to have a popular story that everyone thought was interesting and unique.
I quickly learned that that wasn't going to get me anywhere in my blogging life. I didn't like it. My posts felt forced. I felt like it wasn't for me, it was just for show. Luckily, that bad attitude I had in the very beginning did not stick. And oddly enough, when I started to blog more for me and less for popularity, or really, not for popularity at all, my blog stats started to skyrocket. Duh. I should have known that from the very beginning!
But anyway, now that I have my feet planted firmly in the soil of this earth, I have really found my voice as a blogger. I don't say that to toot my own horn, per se, but it's just true. I've figured out what I like to talk about and how I like to blog. And apparently, there are people out there who actually thing that I'm cool for it!
Exhibit A:
Jen, one of the most dedicated bloggy followers I've ever encountered has presented me with this award. I don't know how she does it, but she comments on like every one of my posts the second they go up, and it completely warms my heart. I appreciate it every single time! I love to read her blog and to see her comments. If you aren't following her in some way, I highly recommend it!
But anyway, I'm kind of going to break the rules of this award because I seriously don't think that I could award just 15 people with this...I have encountered so many beautiful bloggers, I really don't think that I can do it, so I'm going to tell you 7 fun facts and I'm going to give a blanket award to all the blogs that I follow and the ones that follow me! I love to read what you have to say. You are really all beautiful bloggers inside and out. Without this bloggy, I don't know where I would be.
So, onward with my 7 details about myself-y self.
I seriously love to cross stitch. I would do it all day every day if it wasn't so annoying to change floss colors and pick patterns to stitch.
I prefer a cucumber as a snack to all over snacky-like foods. Even desserts. :/
I have a ladybug pillow pet named Irene. My mom got her for me right after I got out of the hospital last year. She went everywhere with me as my arm rest for quite a while...
I hate pumpkin things...I hate cookies. But I love pumpkin cookies.
Some days, I want to quit my job and be a professional blogger. Then I remember that I's gots bills to pays...
I'm currently going through my I'd-rather-party-all-night-and-day phase. I chose to ignore that nagging temptation in high school, and now, it's tromping on me with all it's might asking me to come out and play...
Sometimes, I dream that my life is like Night At The Museum 2 and I can jump into the Beatles Poster in my room...In fact, I have that dream all the time.
And now that I've talked more about myself, quite like I do each time I blog, I shall snuggle up with Irene and my wooby and forget that there is a world outside, for today is my day off.
