Pinterest Really Is Awesome

I have got a serious Pinterest problem.

Well actually, I don't really think that it's a problem. It may actually be an asset to my life.

People make fun of Pinterest users all the time. They wonder why everyone loves Pinterest so much or how you could possibly spend so much time on the site, but it really is awesome.

The other day I was scrolling through all of the things that I have pinned and I bumped into a few old pins that I'm really excited about.  I think Pinterest can kind of change your life.

I'm going to start reading again.

I used to be an avid reader. I read...everything that I could get my hands on. I read one book, cover to cover every single day, but now, I can't remember the last time I read a book for fun. So as I was scrolling through and I found this

There's a few on the list that I can do without and couple that I've already read, but overall, it looks to me like a pretty damn good list. And I'm gonna read em. And http://www.losethecushion.com/I hope that it will change my life for the better.

Have you ever Pinned something that really had an influence on you? I have. :)

Have you ever moseyed over to Katie's blog?  Great name right? I love it when people have my name and they spell it correctly and everything!

Anyway...she blogs over at Girl On A Mission to Lose the Cushion, but she is more than just a blogger. Katie is a small business owner. She recently graduated from college with a degree in business and  is working her butt off to show everyone what her business is all about.

On Monday, you will find a lovely giveaway from Katie's store Metal Marvels. She makes the most adorable jewelry and I want to share it with you! I am a firm believer of only having sponsors that I believe in, and I certainly believe in Katie. So be sure to stop by on Monday and see what she has to offer.

1. Favorite childhood book
I was not much of a read when I was a kid.  I read my fair share of Junie B. Jones and Horrible Harry, but I didn't really start to love books until Shadow Horse. After I read that book, I realized that as long as your reading something that you are enjoying, reading is freakin awesome.

2 . Favorite Book lately
It has been a long time since I have sat down and read a book...It's amazing how easy it is for life to get in the way of something as simple as reading! I think the last book that I read and was completely in love with though, was Flowers For Algernon. I cried and cried but it was so good.  I so feel for the poor guy...All he wanted was to fit in and have friends...

Harry Potter Paperback Box Set (Books 1-6)3. Book you wish you could live in.
I would definitely live in Harry Potter. I am a total Harry Potter nut and I have been since I first started to love reading. It would be so amazing to be a part of that awesome magical world that JK Rowling created...

4. If you could be any character from a book who would it be and why?
I would definitely be Huckleberry Finn.  I have always loved Mark Twain and I am obsessed with Huck Finn. Sure Tom Sawyer is cool, but Huck is so much more
adventureous. I also think that he has completely pure intentions in everything he does. I think that we're similar in many ways, but he has the courage to do
things that I wouldn't.
Holes

5. Favorite Book turned Movie?
Holes. Definitely loved Holes. There were several inconsistencies but I loved the way that they presented it. It was probably one of the books turned movie that I didn't have complaints about.

6. Favorite Magazines
I really only read Cosmopolitan Magazine. I think it's hilarious to read all the stories and advice. It's so funny to me how they talk about everything...It's hilarious to me!

Fifty Shades of Stupid

First of all, I'm going to 29 Palms next week! I'm really excited and it will definitely be fun (and probably a little bit intense...) The 4th of July is the one year anniversary of our first date, so that will be cute. Hopefully It will be an awesome 5 entire days with my Marine.

Second of all, I finally gave in and started reading Fifty Shades of Grey and I hate it! I decided the other night to figure out why everyone is talking about this book and I really don't understand. I mean yeah, it is very...explicit and those parts are very well written, but as for the rest of it, I'm so annoyed with it.
Dialogue is my favorite part of books. I love how I can basically see a conversation happening between two people before my eyes and I think that this is just so unrealistic...Sure, it's a book and the story doesn't have to be realistic, but at least make the characters sound like real people.

And besides all that, it's pretty lame...maybe the other two book will be better but I am so unimpressed with this and I really do not understand how so many people love it. Sorry if you think it's an amazing work of literature, but I can barely stomach it and I'm 240 pages in...

Boo to bad books...
