The Land of Opportunity

Today, I am thankful that I live in a place filled with so much opportunity.

America, whether you think so or not, is a wonderful place. People come from all over the world to come here and have a fair chance at doing whatever their heart desires.

For example, every person that has a small business/etsy shop/blog is taking the opportunity they have to make their own living with whatever great idea they've got. I'm not exactly sure what it's like in other countries, but I know that here, small businesses have this wonderful chance to thrive.

I've considered starting my own business or going into social media marketing. What's so amazing about it, is that I can take my cell phone pictures, throw them on picmonkey to make them look nice and show the world my creation by tweeting and facebooking. How amazing is that?!  A self-propelled business where you are in control of your own fate.

The opportunity for business isn't the only thing though. I have this great chance to be in the Military, apply to any college I would like to attend and have a fair fighting chance to get in based on my performance in the past.

And on top of that, because I'm serving in the military, I recieve awesome tuition assistance.  And the military will pay me a little bit more to be a full time student. How great is that? You can't tell me that that isn't a fantastic thing! Well you could try to tell me that, but I won't listen.

I am proud to be an American. No matter who my Commander and Chief is, I have an allegiance to this country. I will protect and defend the United States Constitution, because I love that I have the chance to.

Opportunity. You've got it. Take advantage of it.

And speaking of small  businesses, head over here a support this one by taking a look at his shop!
